First Day School had a great time sharing in the FFM Christmas Program,
and we could see you all enjoyed being silly singing “The Twelve Days of
Christmas” with us!
In January, Lynn Lidz helped us make wonderful gingerbread houses; this
year there were no disasters with dropped houses, either 🙂 We learned
how to be better friends with people who have different abilities from
us, including getting to visit with a young service dog-in-training. We
celebrated the Wolf Full Moon and learned about Palestinian children and
their culture.
In February, we plan to learn more about our sister meeting in Cuba,
Delicias, and we will make valentines to send to them. We are hoping to
help our older children explore other faiths, learning more about
Quakers in the process. We plan to do some cooking, continue
celebrating holidays from around the world, and explore the natural
world around us. We hope people will go to see the free performance of
the Tanglewood Marionettes on February 11 in Acton
(https://actonma.myrec.com/info/default.aspx). They will perform again
on March 10 and April 14. The Tanglewood Marionettes are run by Peter
Schaefer, son of our own Alice Schaefer and brother of Max Schaefer.

for an up-to-date list of our future plans, but be aware that they are
very flexible 🙂 If you have questions or want to help out, please get
in touch with Anne Anderson, Heather Gray, or Lynn Lidz. Invite
families you know to join us!!!
