Children’s Program December 2024 – January 2025

First Day School hopes to share our spiritual experience of spirals and labyrinths with the meeting as part of our Christmas Program.  And of course, we will lead everyone in singing the 12 Days of Christmas with funny motions for each present!  Adam Hurley has been leading Dungeons and Dragons sessions for our older children about once a month, and the feedback is very positive.  While the older children are playing D&D, the younger children have supervised Free Play, allowing parents and caregivers to spend time in Meeting for Worship.  We celebrate children’s birthdays each month as a way of showing each child we think they are important and unique!  We have not planned our January programs yet but be sure we will be offering a program for children every Sunday at 10 am except on Dec. 22 and Dec. 29.

First Day School families are looking forward to the Special Meeting for Discussion at rise of Worship on January 26 on the topic of how the meeting can better support our First Day School families and allow our children to become more engaged with Quaker worship as well as the rest of the life of our meeting.
