First Day School continues our exploration of the different meanings of sanctuary, both for ourselves, for other people, and for the world around us.  We are planning to build our own models of sanctuaries using
gingerbread (think Christmas gingerbread houses, but sanctuaries instead), and we hope to get other adults interested in helping with the baking!  We want to continue teaching the “Lord/Light prepare me to be a
sanctuary” song to the rest of the meeting.   It is exciting to see little Nellie getting better at walking and climbing, and to see the older children care for her.  Dungeons & Dragons is on vacation during May but will return in June with two sessions.  Our experiment with having bean bag chairs in the meeting room for children seems to be working out: it has been nice to see children sharing when there are more children wanting to use a bean bag than there are bean bags!
